Day 1: ARRIVAL AT SIEM REAP

Arrival at Siem Reap Airport and transfer to the hotel. We will have free time at leisure before leaving to enjoy the sunset at Bakheng hill or Pre Rup temple (it de-pends on weather conditions). Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 2: ANGKOR WAT - ANGKOR THOM

Breakfast at hotel. This morning we take a local tukuk to visit Angkor Wat, the king of the temples in the area, a temple dedicated to Hindu God Vishnu. We continue with the city of Angkor Thom, South Gate, Bayon, Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, we get ready for a unique experience; monk blessing at Wat Damnak. You will meet 2 Buddhist monks at one of the most beautiful Pagodas in town. They will bless you and your family and you will receive a red string bracelet on your wrist. Time now for attending a Cambodian cooking class, we will learn about the most common ingredients of the country as well as their way of preparation. We taste our own dinner cooked by us.

Day 3: SIEM REAP - KOMPHEIM

Breakfast in the hotel. We depart to Kompheim village, 16km far from the city of Siem Reap. Peasants and itinerant workers. In the tour host family will welcome us in their home, and we will spend one day living with them. Each family gains a small amount in return for receiving its guests while another higher amount is entered on a foundation of the village. This foundation serves to provide the subsidy to special projects such as the construction village wells or water filters. We work with families to determine the necessary projects. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 4: SIEM REAP - DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel. This last morning we visit Artisans dí Angkor, organization that focus its efforts on training-school rural youth in traditional crafts. We can see local crafts and watch artisans in their daily work. Ancient techniques are still practiced, such as stone or wood carving, lacquer, gold or colored silk. We continue with the visit to Old Market, the most famous to tourists and visitors, which offers a great selection of souvenirs and curiosities of traditional markets.
