Facilities and services available in the Departure,
Arrival Halls and upper floor of Bangkok International Airport are listed alphabetically
below. (The plans shows locations inside the terminal).
Airport Security Center
Airport Security Center located in the arrival hall of international
passenger terminal gives security service to passengers and airport users at BIA
(Bangkok International Airport) and serves as an emergency center for the report
of any emergency or urgent matter occurred within airport area.
Airport Bus
4 routes are provided from 05.30-00.03 hours, every 15 minutes as follows:-

A1 Airport - Silom

A2 Airport - Snam Luang

A3 Airport - Prakhanong

A4 Airport - Hua Lumpong
Baggage Claim
There are now 19 sets of conveyor belts ( 8 sets at international terminal 1,
6 seats at international terminal 2 and 5 sets at domestic terminal)

Bank
There are now 2 commercial banks on service at the airport which are Thai
Military Bank Public Co., Ltd., located at the northern part of international
terminal 1, and Bangkok Bank Public Co., Ltd, located on the 2nd floor at the
northern part of international terminal 2.
Business Center
Business Center is provided for passengers who have private business deal.
Relevant facilities on meeting arrangement are furnished in this room including
perfect communication equipment for business contact which are fixed in the
transit/transfer room of international terminal 1.
Car Park
Total area 102,654 m2. Capacity 3,600 vehicles.

Customs
-
Passenger departing Thailand must be inspected for prohibited and
restricted articles.
-
Arriving passenger is required to complete the Customs Declaration Form
before going through Customs. Passenger with not thing to declare should proceed
to the Green Channel, but those with articles to be declared should proceed to
the Red Channel with completed Declaration Form.
Failure to declare dutiable, restricted or prohibited articles, if found, the
articles must be confiscated and the passenger shall be fined four times the
amount of such
article's prices.
CIP Lounge
There are 10 lounges provided for departing passengers who need to relax with
privacy while waiting for the flights or for incoming passengers. Besides,
airline companies also offer the same kind of lounge for passengers within the
departure lounge of international passenger terminal.
Currency Exchange
Currency Exchange counters are provided in both arrival and departure halls
and lounges of international terminals. In addition, currency exchange booths
are also situated at various areas within the airport.

Facility for the Handicapped
Facilities provided for the handicapped are as follows:-
Immigration
-
Passenger departing Thailand must have passport checked by Immigration
Officer. Besides passport, boarding pass and completed immigration card No. 6
Departure Card form must also be presented as well.

Arriving passenger is required to fill out immigration card No. 6 arrival
card form of BIA Immigration Office.

Visa on arrival (B9)
The citizen of certain countries can enter Thailand and stay as tourist for a maximum period of 30 days
without a Visa. You can see the list of countries at www.travexnet.com/visa.html
Passengers without entry visas from 55 countries are now able to obtain visas
at the arrival counter in the arrival hall of the international passenger
terminal 1. A fee of 300 Baht must be paid and 2 pictures of 1 inch each are
required (express photo service fee for 4 photos is 120 Baht) The length of stay
is 15 days including the arrival date.
Left Baggage
Left Baggage are located in both arrival and departure hall of international
terminals 1 and 2 as well as domestic terminal.

Lost and Found
Passenger can trace their belongings at:

Counters of Thai Airways International in the arrival lounge of
international terminals 1 and 2.

Office of each airline company.
-
Ask for the lost item at every AAT information counter.
Meeting Point
Those who come to pick up passengers can make an appoinment with passengers
at the meeting point, located at the connecting site of arrival hall of
international terminals 1 and 2.
Medical Office
Available for sick passengers, located on the first floor of the north end of
the international passenger terminal. There are other two medical rooms, one in
the international passenger terminal 2, another in the domestic passenger
terminal, both open till 15.00 hours.

Muslim Praying Room
Provided for Muslim passengers/users, located in the departure hall at the
linking area between international passengers terminal 1 and 2. The other one is
in the departure hall of domestic terminal. Essential facilities are also
available in the rooms.
Post and Telegraph Office

Located in the arrival hall, international passenger terminal 1,
open 09.00 - 17.00 hrs.

Located in the departure hall international passenger terminal 1,
open
24 hours.

Located in the arrival hall, international passenger terminal 2,
open 07.30 - 24.00 hrs.
Shops
Merchandise shops - Variety of goods are provided for choices of passengers
which are duty free goods, handicraft and local products from Royal Folk Arts
and Craft Center, Bang Sai, Thai traditional cloth and world's brand name
products. Moreover, there are florists selling fresh and dry flowers and
preserved food and there are also some kind of stores.
Restaurants - Many types of restaurants which offer many kinds of food such
as Thai food, Chinese food, European food, Japanese food including famous fast
food and snack bars located at various areas in the terminal.

Shuttle Bus
Plying between international and domestic passenger terminals every 15
minutes from 05.15 - 23.00 hours, free of charge.
Smoking Areas
In the terminals are nonsmoking zones except in the smoking rooms provided in
the departure and arrival lounges of the international passenger terminals 1/2
and also in the domestic terminal.

Trolleys are provided for service inside and outside restricted areas free of
charge.
VAT Refund for tourist
VAT refund can be claimed at VAT Refund for Tourist Counter of BIA in the
departure lounges of international passenger terminals 1 and 2. Claim must be
made under the conditions of Revenue Department.
