Breakfast to be served at hotel. Exploring the Khmer Heritage is the main reason for many travelers to come to Cambodia. We will attempt these concepts today, as we visit the city of Angkor Thom, the old capital of Khmer Empire. We will enter through the South Gate to reach the masterpiece of the city, Bayon Temple, to continue later to Royal Enclosure, the famous Elephant Terrace and King Leperd Terrace. Many of the concepts and pieces seen yesterday at the Museum would enable us to understand even further the concepts the guide shares with us. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Angkor Wat, the “jewel of the Crown”. We will continue with the visit to Ta Prhom, the jungle temple with its enormous roots from ancient trees. If the weather permits, see the sunset at the top of Bakheng or Prerup temple. Dinner with traditional performances and Apsara show.
