This temple is located on a hill, west of the town and is of Myanmar Shan State architectural style. Two Shan stupas, erected in 1860 and 1874, enshrine the ashes of monks from the Myanmar’ Shan State. Around the back of the wat a tall slender standing Buddha can be seen and visitors can also glimpse magnificent views west of the ridge.
