Site at a glance
Kaeng Krachan National Park
This 3,000 sq.km. park is Thailand’s largest,
covering nearly half of Phetburi Province. In spite of its size and proximity to
Bangkok, Kaeng Krachan doesn’t seem to get many visitors. This part of Phetburi
receives some of the heaviest rainfall in Thailand, the rain forest is therefore
particularly abundant in places. There are also areas of savanna-like
grass-lands, mountains, steep cliffs, caves, waterfalls, long distance hiking
trails and two rivers, the Phetburi and Pranburi, which are suitable for rafting
which can be arranged. Hiking and camping are excellent as long as visitors
bring packed lunches.
NOTE:
This tour is best for groups of up to 30
